Benito “Benny” Carmona

Senior Vice President, U.S. Century Bank.

Benny, as his friends call him, was born in Miami, Florida in 1975 of Cuban-American parents. He has a bachelor’s degree in Management and also earned a Masters of Business Administration. For more than 16 years, Mr. Carmona has worked in the banking industry, half of which has been as a commercial lender.

In that role, he provided financing for small and medium sized businesses. He has worked closely with the U.S. Small Business Administration and local Community Development Centers (CDC’s), in preparing and processing loan applications for potential borrowers.

During his college years, Mr. Carmona participated in the FIU Food Runners, which provided Sunday lunches for the homeless in downtown Miami. He has lectured elementary and middle school students on the basics of banking at Jose de Diego Middle School and South Miami Elementary. He is currently working with his High School Alumnae Association to begin a mentoring program for High School students on personal finance and banking.

Benny currently serves as Senior Vice President at U.S. Century bank.

Prior to his current role, Benny served as a Senior Vice President of the Bank Lending Division for TotalBank, a subsidiary of Banco Popular Espanol, working toward establishing long-term commercial relationships throughout South Florida.
