MIAMI, FL (November 7, 2016):  Miami Bayside Foundation (MBF) expands its Zika Emergency Assistance Loan (ZEAL) program to include Little River area, Miami’s newest Zika Zone. The ZEAL program was launched in September 2016 to provide loans to local City of Miami minority and woman-owned businesses in the Wynwood Zika Zone to help them weather the negative financial impact of the Zika virus.

The program is designed to specifically provide assistance with payroll expenses in order to ensure job retention. The loans are offered to minority and woman-owned businesses located in the former Zika Zone in Wynwood and the new Zika Zone in the Little River area that can demonstrate their business has been adversely affected by the Zika Virus.

ZEAL is part of MBF’s micro-loan program, offering up to $20,000 to minority-owned businesses in the City of Miami.
