Executive Director CAMACOL Hemispheric Congress

A partner and associate of Blue Green Black Global, LLC., composed of four professionals in the investment, trade, finance and brokering of international deals worldwide. Current Executive Director of CAMACOL’s Hemispheric Congress of Latin Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The Hemispheric Congress’ Permanent Secretariat is composed of the Presidents and Directors of 22 National Latin America Chamber of Commerce, and Spain. CAMACOL is the Latin Chamber of Commerce of U.S. CAMACOL is the largest Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in the State of Florida with over 48 years in existence.

Luis was a long time pillar of Enterprise Florida, Inc., as Director, Trade Development for Latin America and Caribbean. During this tenure, Luis executed over 12 export marketing trade missions throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, over 170 companies participated on these missions, which generated in excess of $238 million dollars in sales. Luis was a Florida Foreign Trade Association Advisory Board Member and assisted with FFTA’s Trade USA Program for the past 8 years executing their inbound trade missions program. Brining 29 missions from Latin America and the Caribbean to the State of Florida. 555 foreign companies participated with the one-on-one matchmaking program. These missions generated $156 million dollars in sales. Luis also managed over 100 Certified Trade Events missions that were conducted during a period of 9 years. 982 Florida companies participated in the program. These missions achieved $664 million dollars in sales. Enterprise Florida, Inc. (EFI) is a private-public partnership serving as Florida’s primary organization devoted to statewide economic development. Luis was also employed  by Miami Capital Development Inc. (MCDI) serving as Senior Lending Offer. MCDI was a private non-for-profit corporation that acted as the City of Miami’s lending arm, providing small business loans to foster economic development to minority business entrepreneurs within designated target areas throughout the City of Miami, Bayside Market Place and Miami-Dade County.

Professional Associations: Luis was a member of Miami-Dade County Jay Malina’s International Trade Consortium. He is also an FEFC – Florida Export Finance Corporation Board Member, GMCC – Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s Haitian Affairs Group. A current FFTA – Florida Foreign Trade Association Board Member. He is also a MBF Board Member. Luis was included in the WorldCity’s third annual “Who’s Who in International Business in Miami and South Florida”. Luis has recently been appointed Honorary Consul for Port-au-Prince, Haiti by the Mayor of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, the Honorable Muscadin Jean-Yves Jason.
