Kathleen Murphy has been the Miami Bayside Foundation’s Executive Director since 2010, helping spearhead the restructuring of the organization. During her tenure, she has created and managed the loan and educational programs, had MBF designated a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), created a partnership with Enterprise Florida for matching loan funds, and more than doubled the assets of the organization while awarding more than $1.5 million in educational grants. Prior to that, she was a principal in the consulting firm Murphy Anwandter, L.L.C. which provided management, fundraising, marketing and public relations assistance to area nonprofit organizations. Her clients included the Miami Symphony Orchestra, the Haitian Cultural Arts Alliance, and the Miami-Dade Public Library Foundation.
Originally from Chile, Kathleen Murphy earned her bachelor’s degree in Latin American Studies from Mount Holyoke College.
