The MBF Scholarship has deepened my aspirations for the personal and career goals that I have set for myself. Being a first-generation college student, a post-secondary institution’s lecture room of 500+ students was not where I visualized myself, due to my family’s numerous hardships. The MBF has eased those burdens with the financial aid and overall support system provided. This scholarship has served as the torch allowing me to create a path that will not only benefit me, but ultimately enhance the lives of others around me as well.

Chrisford Belizaire

MBF Scholarship Recipient, Miami Edison Senior High School graduate, attending University of Florida

Helping young ambitious students of Miami, I feel honored for the MBF scholarship in assisting in my college journey.  They were a true asset during the process. And because of their help, I was able to achieve more than I was expecting– having the privilege to experience amazing opportunities during my freshmen year!
