Miami Bayside Foundation’s (MBF) Director of Loan Programs, Michael Sellinger, recently presented at the City of Miami’s Procurement Outreach Program for Small Businesses (POP-Up Shop). The POP-Up Shop is a unique series of events, designed and coordinated by the City of Miami’s (City) Procurement Department (Procurement) as its official Procurement Outreach Program for Small Businesses. As a City Partner, MBF presented on their efforts to support minority-owned businesses in the City of Miami through their small business training workshops and loan programs. To date, MBF has graduated a total of 161 entrepreneurs from their training workshops and awarded over $2.8 million in loans to City of Miami minority-owned businesses helping to create more than 350 jobs.
