On May 14th MBF awarded $1,000 scholarships to 25 City of Miami residents graduating from Miami-Dade County Public Schools and attending college in the fall. The ceremony took place at Miami City Hall and was a great success. The award ceremony was followed by a reception, were the Scholarship Recipients mingled and enjoyed tasty food and drinks catered by Panther Coffee, Sugar Yummy Mama and The Pastry Shop by Magic City Chefs, all MBF’s loan recipients.

MBF scholarship programs have given students the opportunity to access resources that were not previously available to them. This is the second year of a multi-year scholarship program commitment made by MBF to the Miami-Dade Public School System.

I am truly blessed that I am a scholarship recipient of the MBF. Now I have the opportunity to attend the school of my dreams and have the funding and support to pay for my schooling.

This scholarship shows the care and investment this program has for students with financial issues. I am highly grateful to receive this scholarship.
