In June 2016 MBF made a second year gift of $53,000 to D.A. Dorsey, Lindsey Hopkins, and George T. Baker Technical Colleges. These funds will award scholarships to 35 City of Miami minority students for the 2016-2017 academic year.
On June 22, 2016, MBF (MBF) celebrated 16 City of Miami small business owners graduating from its third Small Business Training. The graduation ceremony took place 6:30 pm to 8:00 at CAMACOL on 1417 W Flagler St, Miami, FL 33135.
The MBF (MBF) awarded $1,000 scholarships to 37 outstanding high school seniors at Miami City Hall on May 26, 2016. Four of the 37 students received MBF’s Commissioner Willy Gort Scholarship, a scholarship program for District 1 residents that was introduced in January 2016 by the Commissioner.
